(Davenport, IA) -- National Weather Service investigators will be out in Rock Island and Mercer Counties today assessing damage reports from last night's storm.

National Weather Service meteorologist Zach Uttek says radar did indicate rotation, but the damage will help them determine whether it was caused by straight line winds or tornadoes.

The storm carved a path from northern Mercer County near Reynolds up through Milan, Moline, Silvis and into Hampton.

As of 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, around 48-hundred MidAmerican customers in East Moline, Silvis, and Moline remain without power.
