(Des Moines, IA) -- No Iowa communities made it onto a Homeland Security list of places the federal government says are undermining Immigration enforcement.

The list released yesterday aims to put pressure on communities that DHS says are non-compliant with Federal statutes. Dubuque County officials feared they'd end up on the list after Sheriff Joe Kennedy declined to join a voluntary ICE enforcement program saying it wasn't a good fit.

Iowa is one of 15 states without a community that appears on the list, but DHS says the list could be updated at any time.
