(Urbana, IA) -- An eastern Iowa police chief on leave for the past year is now being fired.
City Council in Urbana, north of Cedar Rapids, is deciding to outright fire Police Chief John Baker after disagreements between him and the city clerk.
Baker is suing the city saying the clerk was micro-managing him without authority, and that he was suspended as retribution.
A trial in Benton County court is set for December.
