(Midwest) -- A Midwest nonprofit that supports early childhood literacy names a new executive director.
Reach Out and Read Midwest is naming Laura Holms as its new executive director. The organization has begun building childhood literacy programs to support 360 thousand children under the age of 5 across Iowa and Nebraska. Holms has over 25 years of experience in community engagement and development. Reach Out and Read says 39% of infants and toddlers are read to each day in Iowa and Nebraska.
