(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Voters may see a new school bond referendum on the ballot in November.

Cedar Rapids Community School District officials are approving a revised $117-million bond to put before voters who rejected a previous $220-million request two years ago.

The revised bond drops plans for a new Middle School in favor of renovating multiple schools in the district.

The District now needs enough signatures to place the bond measure on the ballot.

If the bond passes, the average property tax bill would increase by nearly eight-dollars a month.
