(Pella, IA) -- Pella Regional Medical Center and Knoxville Hospital and Clinics have broken ground on a new cancer treatment facility in Marion County.
The $14 million South Central Iowa Radiation Center will be located on the Pella Regional campus and feature advanced equipment, including a TrueBeam linear accelerator and a PET/CT unit. The technologies are designed to deliver precise radiation therapy while limiting exposure to healthy tissue, and to provide detailed imaging that supports cancer diagnosis and treatment planning.
Hospital leaders say the partnership will reduce travel times and improve access for local patients. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
