(Winneshiek County, IA) -- An Iowa sheriff who was sued by the state for posting on social media that he would not comply with ICE officials in his jurisdiction is filing a motion for dismissal of the case. Winneshiek County sheriff Dan Marx and his attorneys claim there is no case because he removed the post by the time Attorney General Brenna Bird asked him to, and they call the lawsuit "thought policing." The petition also asks for a change of venue if the suit goes to trial.
