Iowa City Man Arrested, Accused of Trying to Pay with Money Covered in Meth

(Iowa City, IA) -- An Iowa City man is facing multiple charges after police say he tried to pay for an item with cash covered in methamphetamine.

Investigators say 45 year-old Marcus Turner tried to make a purchase at a store around 3am Wednesday with bills that had a crystallized substance on them. He was taken into custody, and police later confirmed that the substance was methamphetamine. Once in custody, police found 48.5 grams of meth on Turner, some of which was found in his sock.

Turner is facing multiple charges.
