(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A Corridor municipality is reminding homeowners participating in an environmentally friendly campaign that they still need to keep their yards tidy.

The city of Cedar Rapids says although you may be taking part in No-Mow, or Low-Mow May to allow growth that supports pollinators like bees, they'll still be enforcing the Noxious Weeds and Tall Grass code starting May 1st.

City ordinance requires grass to be kept under 12 inches tall.

Fines start at $40 plus a $145 administration fee.
