(Linn County, IA) -- Iowa's largest solar field is operational and providing energy to homes in Linn County.
Alliant Energy says the recently-renamed Pleasant Creek Solar site is a 200 megawatt solar facility and is expected to provide power to roughly 40,000 homes each year. The company is combining the output from the Creston and Wever solar projects as well as output from the Pleasant Creek Solar site to generate about 400 megawatts of energy for Iowa homes.
