(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids School District is cutting their facilities bond proposal nearly in half.

After a poll showing lukewarm support for the most recent proposal, the District is dropping plans for a new middle school to replace Harding Middle School.

The new proposal will drop the cost from $211 million to $117 million.

The District will present the plan to the Board tonight.

They're expected to decide whether to put it before voters in November on May 12th.
