(Iowa) — The FDA is recalling over 170,000 bottles of potentially contaminated Martinelli's apple juice. Ten-ounce bottles of apple juice are potentially contaminated with patulin, a mycotoxin produced by molds that grow on apples. Although no illnesses have been reported, patulin can cause nausea, gastrointestinal disturbances, and vomiting if consumed. The juice is being recalled in 28 states, including Iowa.

The affected bottles have a "best by" date of December 5, 2026.
