(United States) -- Thousands of terminated student visas are being restored by the Justice Department.
The DOJ made the announcement in federal court Friday. The reversal is part of a broader effort to restore the legal status of international students whose visas were recently revoked across the country following a series of legal challenges.
Four University of Iowa students had their visas revoked earlier this month. The students filed a lawsuit against DHS and Immigration and Customs Enforcement earlier this week after their visas were terminated on April 10th.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln confirmed that the Trump administration reversed the terminations of visas for two of the three affected international students.
