(Hamilton County, IA) — The body of a missing man has been located near Ellsworth. According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Marcus Anthony Taylor was believed to be traveling from Fort Worth, Texas, to Wisconsin to visit his dying grandmother. His blue Hyundai Santa Fe was last seen on April 8th in northern Missouri. The vehicle was later found outside Ellsworth, believed to be involved in a single-vehicle crash. Taylor's body was discovered about a mile from the initial crash site.
Taylor's family has been notified. His body has been taken to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation laboratory for an autopsy, which is standard practice for cases of this nature. The Sheriff's Office says no foul play is suspected.
The search was assisted by Star 1 Search and Rescue from Story County, the Iowa State Patrol, Ellsworth Fire and Rescue, Hamilton County Emergency Management, the Iowa Department of Transportation, Dallas-Fort Worth Police Department, and the Minnesota Bureau of Apprehension
