Man Arrested After Bomb Threat At Scott County Courthouse

(Davenport, IA) -- Police say a suspect is in custody after a bomb threat in Davenport.

Investigators say a man walked into the Scott County Courthouse around 8:30 p.m. last night with a metal box he claimed was a bomb.

Jail officials reported that the man told them he was going to blow the building to pieces.

Officers talked him out of the building where he was arrested.

The Rock Island Bomb Squad determined that the box the suspect left in the vestibule was empty.

No one was injured.

Thirty-seven year-old Noah Ackerland faces charges of terrorism.
