Clothing Store Evacuated After Employee Mental Health Crisis In Bettendorf

(Bettendorf, IA) -- A Burlington Clothing Store was evacuated after an employee had a mental health crisis in Bettendorf.

According to the Bettendorf Police Department, the employee locked himself in a back storage area while having a mental health crisis on Friday afternoon. Law enforcement evacuated any remaining customers and employees from the store and were able to talk him out of the storage area. Authorities confirmed that there was never a threat to the public, and the employee is now at the hospital for evaluation.
