(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa law enforcement officers could be penalized for not complying with immigration authorities.
The state House passed a bill that allows officers or departments to be investigated if they fail to cooperate with detainment requests by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
If signed into law, the bill proposal would allow the state attorney general to revoke certification of those accused.
