Washington Spirit and United States Women's Soccer Team forward Trinity Rodman and American tennis player Ben Shelton went public with their relationship in a post shared on Instagram.
Shelton, 22, the No. 14 overall player in the men's Tennis ATP rankings, shared a carousel of photos, the last of which showed Rodman, 22, nuzzled up to his cheek while he took a photo in the mirror of an elevator.
“I been focused, but I’m steady climbin’, I’m nowhere near my peak,” Shelton wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
“Shooters shoot I guess 🤭👀,” Rodman commented.
Several other Instagram users, including fellow tennis stars Coco Gauff and Sloane Stephens, commented "hard launch" in response to the post.
It's unclear exactly when Rodman and Shelton initially got together, however, several comments hint that it may have already been known within the tennis community. Shelton was previously linked to heptathlete Anna Hall, who attended the University of Florida at the same time as him.
Rodman, the daughter of Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, had previously dated free agent NFL wide receiver Trinity Benson. The 22-year-old is several months removed from winning her first gold medal with the USWNT at the 2024 Paris Olympics, tying several players for a team-best six points and scoring three goals, which tied teammate Sophia Smith for second behind Mallory Swanson (4).
