(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- An eastern Iowa man charged with the kidnapping and murder of his former girlfriend says it was all his co-defendant's doing.
Jurors in the trial of McKinley Louisma heard a post-arrest police interview in which he says Dakota Van Patten forced him at gunpoint to bind, strip, and strangle Melody Hoffman last February.
Police say her body was found at Lily Lake in Amana.
Prosecutors cited several discrepancies in the account.
The trial continues today.
Van Patten's trial is scheduled for March.
