(Des Moines, IA) -- Gas prices continue to decline in some parts of Iowa, and rise in other areas, starting this post-election week. AAA says the statewide average is at $2.81 per gallon as of this morning. Last week at this time is was averaging around $2.83. Regionally, prices are generally higher in the northeast half of the state, and lower in the southwest half.

Des Moines' average regular gas price is down ten cents from last week, at $2.57 this morning.
Cedar Rapids' average regular unleaded gas price is up, eight cents to $2.90.
Davenport is up eight cents from last week, to $2.87.
