Iowa's Three State Universities Announce Class of 2028 Enrollment Numbers

(Iowa) -- Iowa's three state universities are seeing enrollment numbers increase in this year's freshman class.

The University of Iowa says the class of 2028 is the third largest first-year class ever with just over 52,00 students. That surpasses last year's fourth largest incoming class of just over 5,000. Iowa State University is welcoming a class of over 5,900 students, an increase of 16% over the last five years.

The University of Northern Iowa's enrollment is also up for the class of 2028 with a freshman class of over 1,500 students.
