(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has selected a company to conduct a study on the effects that a Cedar Rapids casino would have on other casinos in the state.
The study is the next step in the application process for The Linn County Gaming Association's casino license.
A study commissioned by the casino's backers show revenues statewide would increase, but a 2022 Racing and Gaming Commission study showed existing casinos would lose 60-million in revenue.
A decision on the application is expected in early February.
