Alec Baldwin made his first red carpet appearance with wife Hilaria since his manslaughter case was dismissed earlier this month. According to People, the couple attended a screening of War Game in the Hamptons on Saturday (July 20) just eight days after his Rust shooting case was "dismissed with prejudice."

The actor was indicted in 2022 for killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust in October 2021 after discharging a loaded gun. Per ABC News, Baldwin was told by the assistant director of the Western that the weapon he used to rehearse with was a "cold gun" meaning that it did not contain "live rounds."

So, as the cameras were rolling, Baldwin pulled the gun out of his jacket pocket and it went off, despite his claims that he never pulled the trigger. In addition to killing Hutchins, the bullet also wounded film director, Joel Souza.

Baldwin, who pleaded not guilty, faced one charge of involuntary manslaughter that was initially dismissed before he was indicted again the following year. A trial was set for July 12, 2024, at which all charges against Baldwin were dismissed following multiple accounts of evidentiary support and testimonials.

One day after the trial, Baldwin shared a photo of himself in court to social media thanking everyone who supported him over the last two-and-a-half years stating:

"There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now. To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family."

As for the Badwin's first red carpet appearance since the dismissal, the couple were all smiles, posing for countless photos as they enjoyed the Hamptons International Film Festival's SummerDocs series together.
