(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A tentative deal has been reached to sell two former Cedar Rapids schools.
Cedar Rapids Community School District has a deal to sell Arthur, and Garfield Elementary.
The Eastern Iowa Arts Academy plans to use Arthur as an arts school.
A local developer wants to turn Garfield into apartments.
The School District will have an open house for public input, then vote on the sale, June 24th.
Arthur and Garfield students will attend the new Trailside School in August.
