(Iowa) -- The Iowa Supreme Court reverses a lower court's ruling in the case of a former Iowa City police officer arguing he should be reinstated.
Former Officer Emilio Puente is arguing that he resigned under duress after a violent encounter with a suspect caught on video in November of 2021. Puente says he resigned to avoid termination but that he was not given time to get an attorney.
The Iowa Supreme Court's ruling does not reinstate Puente and just says the previous court rulings were not properly decided.
