Iowa Board of Regents to Vote on Tuition Increases at State Universities

(Iowa) -- The Iowa Board of Regents will vote this week on tuition increases for Iowa's three state universities.

The vote is scheduled for Friday and, if approved, both in-state and out-of-state tuition would increase. Tuition rates for in-state students would rise by:

  • 2.9% at the University of Iowa
  • 2.8% at Iowa State University
  • 2.1% at the University of Northern Iowa

Out-of-state tuition increases would include:

  • 1.3% at the University of Iowa
  • 4.3% at Iowa State University
  • 2.1% at the University of Northern Iowa
