Eastern Iowa Man Facing Multiple Charges After Highway Crash

(Linn County, IA) -- An eastern Iowa man is facing multiple charges after crashing his car on Highway 13 while intoxicated and possessing a controlled substance.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office was called to a crash at Highway 13 and Rash Road just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3.

Officers says 41-year-old Dustin Gavin of Mt. Vernon was traveling southbound when he lost control of his car, swerved into a ditch, and rolled over until his car stood upright.

Gavin was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

He is facing multiple charges including OWI.

Officers are still investigating.
