(Des Moines, IA) -- Gas prices are rising in Iowa, up 16 cents from last week.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of unleaded in the state is $3.63. In a press release, they say fluctuating oil prices and maintenance work at refineries on the West Coast and Midwest are leading to rising pump prices.

Since last Thursday, Iowa has seen the largest gas price increase in the country.

The average prices for a gallon of unleaded in Iowa's Metros are the following:

  • Ames - $3.68
  • Cedar Rapids - $3.64

  • Dubuque - $3.68
  • Iowa City - $3.66
  • Quad Cities (IA only) - $3.59
