(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is training for ice rescues.

"Hypothermia sets in pretty quick … so it's important for us to get in and get our victim out as safely and quickly as possible," says Brady Peterson with the CRFD.

The training simulates actual rescues, which includes putting on bulky survival suits, going out and grabbing the victim, before being pulled back in.
