Iowa Health Department Asks for Public Help on 5 Year Plan for Wellbeing

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Public Health is asking for public help on a five-year plan to improve the wellbeing of residents.

It's asking people to take a survey and select three areas that are most important as the state emerges from the pandemic.

IDPH says its goal is to help people live longer, more productive lives. The survey can be taken until the end of June.

It called the Iowa Health Assessment survey.

IDPH says the process will highlight both opportunities for growth and the challenges the department face as it assesses public health in Iowa. From 2022-2026, IDPH will work to address key priorities identified in the survey to advance the health of Iowans.
