(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Today is the first day the Iowa Covid Vaccination Dashboard is online, with hundreds of clinics and pharmacies listed as vaccination locations, but Iowans say after they fill out the online form for an appointment...

"You can't get one. You just can't get an appointment." Steve in Durant, in far Eastern Iowa tells WMT Radio Talk Show Host Jeff Angelo.

Another caller, Diane says it's the same story in Scranton, northwest of Des Moines, and they've tried at several different clinics, including the V-A.

"They have no idea when they're getting it (the vaccine). They have not heard a word." She says.

Angelo goes on to read text messages from listeners.

"It tells you there are no appointments available." Angelo says. "This texter's been trying every day since last Thursday, age 65, has auto-immune disease, has had cancer, and he can't get a shot."

Angelo reads another text message.

"Lee County - Jeff, emailed on January 22 and was number 800 on the list. They were expecting to get only 200 doses on February 1."

Some people are also venting their frustrations on the Polk County Health Department Twitter page, with comments like, " It's impossible to get a spot" and, "...no, no, and no."

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said last week that Iowa is 46th in the nation for the number of vaccine doses received, but 15th highest for getting those vaccinations out once the vaccine arrives.
