A Cedar Rapids man is behind bars after leading Linn County deputies on a brief chase early Friday morning.
The sheriff's department says just before 3:00 a.m. a deputy saw a motorcycle run a red light at Highway 13 and Secrist Road.
The deputy tried to stop the motorcycle, but the rider took off eastbound on Secrist Road to Martelle Road. After a short pursuit the sheriff's office says the rider lost control at a slow speed and dropped the bike to the ground.
48 year old Scott Curley is facing traffic and drug charges.
