Gov. Reynolds to Decide on Future of Iowa's COVID-19 Declaration

DES MOINES, Iowa - Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will be announcing a decision soon on the fate of her coronavirus declaration, which is set to expire Thursday.

Casinos, amusement parks and senior centers have still not been green-lighted to open-up.

Reynolds is letting bars open at 50 percent capacity on Thursday. She's also allowed race track to reopen.

Prairie Meadows voted last Friday to open up the "back side" of its track, where the stables are, next Monday. That move is necessary before racing can begin.

Live horse racing has been taking place for several weeks at some tracks around the U.S.

Casinos and amusement parks have been encouraged by Governor Reynolds to submitting plans for reopening.
