MARION’S RECOVERY TASK FORCE INITIATES RESIDENT READINESS ONLINE SURVEY

As businesses consider getting back to business, Marion’s Community Recovery Task Force is working to help them do so confidently with the launch of a consumer confidence survey.

The Resident Readiness Survey, available at www.polco.us/MarionIA, is designed to help community leaders understand the comfort level of residents as businesses prepare to reopen.

“Our first priority is the health and safety of our residents,” said Mayor Nicolas AbouAssaly. “Marion was on a great trajectory prior to this pandemic, and we want to do everything in our power to help our business community adapt and emerge successfully.”

To do so, it is important to understand resident expectations.

“Our entrepreneurs and service providers want to understand the needs and expectations of residents as we all navigate a new way of doing business,” explained Marion Chamber President Jill Ackerman. “This information will help them enhance both service delivery and the overall customer experience.”

This survey is one in a series that will be used to help inform the work of Marion’s Building CommUNITY Task Force. Future surveys are expected to measure attitudes over time or specific needs such as mental health or social services.

To encourage participation and ensure feedback from a diverse cross-section of the community, anyone who completes the survey and then shares the original Facebook post with their network will be eligible to win a $100 gift card to the Marion business of their choice.

The survey should take about 5-6 minutes to complete and will remain active for the next 30 days. Answers are completely confidential and survey results will be reported in group form only. Learn more at www.cityofmarion.org/COVID-19response.
