Cedar Rapids, IA – Linn County is celebrating May 6-12, 2020 as National Nurses Week. This week, celebrated annually, honors the contributions that nurses and the nursing profession make to the community.
The COVID-19 pandemic has only further highlighted the important work done by our nursing professionals as they work to safeguard our inmates and guard them from disease spread. Even during this pandemic, our Correctional Center nurses are still on duty every day serving Linn County.
The Linn County Board of Supervisors has recognized National Nurses Week and honored Linn County’s nursing professionals by releasing an official proclamation.
“I truly appreciate the dedication that is provided by our hardworking nursing staff in the Linn County Correctional Center on a daily basis”, said Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner.“They work tirelessly to help ensure the health and safety of the offenders placed into our custody.”
