LINN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TEMPORARILY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

With documented cases of COVID-19 now occurring in Linn County, and in an effort to lessen the chances of exposure to our employees, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office will close to the public effective immediately.

All of our divisions remain operational, employees continue to report for duty, and the public is being advised to connect with us via phone, email, and through our website.Information concerning specific division operations can be found on our website: linncounty.org/sheriff.

Our Civil Division will continue to serve legal processes and our Patrol Division will continue to respond to emergency and routine calls for service.Certain Patrol Division calls may be handled over the phone, rather than through in-person contact with a deputy sheriff.

The Linn County Correctional Center remains open for business, although all inmates serving time have been temporarily furloughed by the court and have been released from custody.Inmate visitation has been suspended.
