DES MOINES, Iowa - Iowans are helping raise money for a firefighter who was at work at the fire station when his family home was destroyed by fire this weekend.
Clive Fire Lieutenant Gerrit Foreman's wife, Connie and their three children are safe, but everything the family owns has been destroyed in the fire.
A Go Fund Me account started up by friends was asking for three-thousand dollars to help the family get by. Donations hit $19-thousand dollars in the first day and are still coming in to help.
