Talks continue as General Mills strike looms

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Workers at General Mills in Cedar Rapids will report to work as usual today.

The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union’s Local 110, announced that talks continue for workers at the Cedar Rapids production facility

The company and the worker-led negotiations committee met Thursday after 99% workers voted down the “last, best and final” contract offer from General Mills.

Both groups hope to avoid a strike slated for next week.

The RWDSU represents approximately 520 workers at the General Mills manufacturing facility
