ANN ARBOR, Mich. --The No. 8 University of Iowa field hockey team fell to No.1 North Carolina, 2-1, in the final minutes of the fourth period on Sunday at the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Iowa jumped to a 1-0 lead, scoring on a penalty corner in the 38th minute. Freshman Sofie Stribos scored off a corner tip on the right post, and sophomore Lokke Stribos was credited with the assist.
Iowa held the lead until the 55th minute when North Carolina evened the score on a corner shot from the front. Two minutes and 10 seconds later, the Tar Heels sealed the victory with another goal off a corner strike, again scoring from the front.

- Freshman Sofie Stribos scored her second goal in as many games.
- Sophomore Lokke Stribos registered her first assist of the season.
- Senior goalkeeper Leslie Speight registered five saves.
