GREENE, Iowa - Video and photos posted by the Greene Recorder newspaper show the power of ice flows as one of the many rivers across Iowa filled with runoff from snow melt and rain runs high and fast as the ice breaks up.

The National Weather Service and US Geological Survey data show the Shell Rock at Greene in minor flood stage this weekend. River level chart is below video.

The video by the Greene Reporter shows the Shell Rock River in Greene, located southeast of Mason City in North Central Iowa.
