DES MOINES, Iowa - The National Weather Service is predicting 4-5 inches of snow for much of Iowa Saturday night into Sunday, including Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and Waterloo in Eastern Iowa.
In Central and South Central Iowa Des Moines, Ames, Mason City, Marshalltown, Osceola, and Ottumwa are in the 4-5 inch prediction map; and most of Northwest Iowa, as well.
There could be some locally higher snow amounts possible.
Roads are expected to be snow covered and slippery, but winds will be lower than the last snow storm that moved through, so blowing and drifting is not expected.
