One man in Marshalltown said people should stop looking to blame others in the death of a 13-year-old boy.
Police found Corey Brown's body about 10:45 Sunday morning in a secluded area on the west side of Marshalltown. He left home after a fight with his parents Tuesday night during a snow storm and never returned.
One investigator wants people to understand as they try to figure out what happened.
"I think people here are looking for reasons, looking for blame. There's no blame to be found here," said Chief Michael Tupper with the Marshalltown Police Department.
Surveillance video showed Brown walking in a neighborhood on the southwest side of Marshalltown at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said there's no evidence that boy's death involved criminal activity.
