JoCo arrested for rural robberies

A North Liberty man was arrested in connection to several burglaries in rural Johnson County on Wednesday.

Aaron Parker, 24, of North Liberty, was charged with third degree burglary, third degree theft, and possession of burglars tools. Johnson County Sheriff's officials said more charges are pending.

Authorities say at 4:23 a.m. Wednesday morning, they responded to 2771 Greencastle Avenue for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The person who made the report had taken note of a license plate, which was registered to Parker's address. Deputies arrested him and he later admitted to committing the burglaries.

After getting a search warrant, officials searched Parker's home and vehicle, and found items that had been reported stolen during the burglaries west of the North Liberty area.

Parker is being held at the Johnson County jail. The investigation is ongoing.
