A former Linn-Mar nurse is facing an assault charge after allegedly punching a person in the face at a Starbucks drive-thru.
Police say on December 3 47-year-old Angela Beik allegedly punched a 19-year-old victim at the Starbucks on 1st Avenue in Cedar Rapids.
Officers who responded determined the two were engaged in an argument after the two had an ongoing dispute on social media.
Beik then confronted the victim in the Starbucks parking lot when she saw the victim's car in the drive-thru.
Witnesses say they saw the two arguing and also witnessed Beik punch the victim through the driver's side of the vehicle.
The victim wasn't a Starbucks employee and chose to press charges for Assault.
Beik was let go from the school after she was charged with sexual exploitation earlier this year.
In May, Beik pled not guilty to that charge and the trial was supposed to begin December 17 but has been pushed back to March 4, 2019.
