Two charged in CR Drug case

A 20-year-old man convicted of stabbing and killing another man during a drug robbery will spend 20 years in prison.

A judge sentenced Darius Alexander on Wednesday.

Court documents said he pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree robbery as well as aiding and abetting voluntary manslaughter.

He will serve 10 years for each charge for a total of 20 years in prison.

Alexander admits he killed 18-year-old Christopher Arteberry Jr. on Sept. 30, 2016, during an attempt to steal marijuana from Arteberry.

Alexander then stabbed Arteberry in the parking lot of an apartment building.

Police later found his body inside the building.

A criminal complaint said Emily Young drove Alexander that day.

The 22-year-old has since pleaded guilty to being an accessory.

Her sentencing is set for Dec. 19.
