Park staff will be conducting controlled burns at a prairie near the intersection of Rohret Rd. and Mormon Trek Blvd., Terry Trueblood Recreation Area, and Sand Prairie Park on Wednesday.
The burn has been approved by the Iowa City Fire Department and wind direction as well as weather conditions will be put into consideration during the burn.
People who use the park should expect some closures due to the burn.
