The City of Cedar Rapids says their Christmas Tree Lighting will be held November 24 at Green Square.
The Saturday festivities will begin with children's activities at the Cedar Rapids Public Library from 4-5 p.m.
After a storytelling, music by the Sweet Adelines will be performed in Green Square from 5-5:30 p.m.
The tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation say they'll be collecting donations for 'Toys for Tots' at the tree lighting. Books and new unwrapped toys will be accepted.
