Two people were arrested Wednesday after speeding in a car with a defective muffler in Dyersville.
Authorities say while speaking to the driver, 35-year-old Nicolas Bradley from Humboldt and the passenger, 36-year-old Ian Stevenson from Goldfield, officers saw a burnt marijuana cigarette in the car.
The two were detained and an open-air K9 sniff was conducted on the vehicle.
A search found an estimated two pounds of marijuana, a burnt marijuana cigarette, an estimated two grams of white crystal methamphetamine, a methamphetamine pipe, and $8,192.55 in cash.
Bradley and Stevenson have been charged with possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two were arrested and taken to the Delaware County Jail.
