The Western Dubuque School Board voted unanimously to sell a vacant school building on Monday.
Bernard Elementary School has been closed since 2017. Since then, the district has spent $20,000 a year on maintaining it.
The school board approved the building's sale to KSSB Trust out of Texas for $41,200.
District officials aren't sure what the company plans to do with the building.
