Mild Days Lacking So Far...

So far in October, we’re coming up short on mild days in the 70s and warmer.

The middle range of October high temperatures – 50s and 60s – have been right what we would expect for the month so far. They’ve made up a baker’s dozen of our highs this month. The number of days in the 70s and warmer, however, has fallen short of average. We’ve only had four of those days this month, about half of what’s typical. The chilly side of the temperature scale makes up for those days. There have been five days with highs in the 40s, when only one would be expected by this time.

The rest of the month looks to have high temperatures mainly in the 40s and 50s. We won’t be making up for the lost warm days between now and Halloween.
